There is no denying that Aboriginal issues can be a somewhat sensitive topic in the land of Oz. Thankfully, the Deadly Funny showcase is a welcome reminder that the best way to cut through the fog of sensitivity is with a few chuckles. With unabashed musings on racism and what it is that makes Indigenous Australians who they are, it's a breathe of fresh air to have a show where things aren’t left unsaid. Dancing on to the stage with moves that would put Jagger to shame, seasoned MC Sean Choolburra quickly sucked the crowd in with his infectious presence. His first minutes on stage were killer, talking in characteristically fast pace of his goat-inspired proposal idea and what lads look for in a wife. Such was his rapport with the audience that his fumbling for the names of each act as the show progressed erred on the side of being entertaining foible rather than disorganized shamble.
