Note carefully, there will be swears. But all are relevant to the context. Bart weaves his comedic way in and out of jokes, dating through proxy, racism and chanting ‘fuck’ repeatedly. The entire show is so crisp and clean. Obviously well-rehearsed. So well-rehearsed that you’d think you were just having a convo with the man himself. Perhaps you too used to keep elastic bands around your wrists, thinking they were magical. Then, when you got to high school, you heard the swears and thought they too were magical. Bart did. And what Bart recollects on is what all of us have at some stage experienced. He's focused on taboos. What it’d be like if a church was sweary. Where did you come from? And what it means to come from somewhere. All this ties into the ultimate taboo subject of all. Racism. What a show to review. What a way to cap it all off. Beautiful.
